Today makes me feel very motivated and encouraged as a Russian tutor and English instructor. While building my new business website, I decided that I would go ahead and ask some of my former students to give an honest and fair appraisal of my teaching ability, so that I can could then share their opinions on my website, instead of only my own. I am thrilled to see that even months (and sometimes years) after I last was their Russian teacher or English teacher, students remember having fun in class, learning a lot and being motivated to develop as human beings. If only I could express how I want to be back in the classroom! Not even necessarily a classroom. Just any space where I'm interacting with eager minds and teaching them about the Russian language, about my native culture, about ways they can integrate into the Canadian university context and so on and so forth. Teaching is something that runs in my family. It's the best thing in life.
